The film will be called 28 Years Later and will be directed and written by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland.

In the 2002 film, starring Cillian Murphy, zombies took over the UK.

One sequel has already been released – 28 Weeks Later, but it was not written or directed by Boyle or Garland.

They served as executive producers on the 2007 film, but the new film is set to launch a new trilogy.

Besides returning as executive producer, Murphy will also star in the film. In response, other films such as World War Z, Zombieland, and The Walking Dead were made.

In addition to launching the zombie genre, it also helped Murphy and Boyle’s careers, who went on to make Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours.
